featuring Solomon and Miss Brown...

* The Coming of Shadows (Audio)

Cain and Able — sent by the Preceptors to break the Estrangement Programme and reclaim the mighty Soloman. But unknown forces are working against them.

* Force of Nature (Audio)

Arriving on a bleak planet with a poisonous atmosphere, Preceptor agent Cain and Able find their plans in ruins and need to use desperate mesures to rescue Soloman. But who is the traitor?

* Summoned by Shadows (Miss Brown)

Battered by his experiences travelling through space and time, the mysterious stranger has rejected his long time companion and is in self-imposed exile on a barren planet, where he determines to ignore the pleas for help from the victims of a macabre and strangely familiar Conjuror, who seems to have limitless power...

* More than a Messiah (Miss Brown)

Majus XVII - a paradise world for interplanetary tourists to relax and revel in the simple life. But all is not what it seems, as the Stranger and Miss Brown discover when decaying bodies rise from the ground, tourists are swallowed by the angry sea and a mysterious girl whose infatuated obsession with The Stranger soon threatens the life of everyone on the planet.

* In Memory Alone (Miss Brown)

The deserted dilapidation of a railway station is violently distorted by an unscheduled arrival. Something has travelled an unimaginable distance across space...  The stations' reopening was not on the official timetable, but nevertheless the platform has been swept clean and things are back to... normal? A train is approaching, but it's sole occupant knows only one thing for sure - he doesn't belong here.  Waiting at the station is a woman... but what is she waiting for? Answers to questions she cannot even remember...

* The Terror Game (Egan & Saul)

At the dramatic climax of In Memory Alone, the Stranger made a desperate bid to escape from an alien environment. Unsure of his own identity, he submitted himself to a process which promised to put "everything in its proper place".  But where is the Stranger's "proper place"? Just who is the Stranger?  After materialising in an alley behind a seedy night-club, the Stranger begins piecing together his fragmented past. As the disturbing evidence gathers and the memories return, it occurs to him that the hidden terrors of his previous life may be best left forever concealed.

* Breach of the Peace (Egan & Saul)

They are terrorists from another dimension. They have completed their mission on Earth and now they want to leave. But they are trapped - and they are desperate.  In The Terror Game, the Stranger discovered that he was Soloman, the leader of a Preceptor terrorist cell on an assassination run in this dimension. But he has decided to reject his violent past and has settled into a mundane, Earthly lifestyle. However, his fellow cell members, Egan and Saul, have assumed the identities of police officers to track Soloman down. In their ruthless determination to return to the war beyond our universe, they will let nothing stand in their way.

* The Last Mission (Audio) (Egan & Saul)

The Stranger has traversed the continuum in his adventures, always trying to escape a past which threatens to catch up with him. Now, however, Soloman recalls the events of years before, and we finally discover what set him on a road apart from the other preceptors.

* Eye of the Storm (Audio) (Egan & Saul)

Egan, Saul and Soloman find themselves back on Earth. A young girl named Meta is involved in a dangerous experiment, and Egan may come to learn something about humans before it is over.

* Eye of the Beholder (Egan & Saul)

Creatures from a Dimensional Web who have taken human form to carry out acts of indiscriminate terrorism. Egan and Saul are committed Preceptors, but Soloman has renounced his calling.  Now, wrenched back to Earth from the Web by some unknown force, the Preceptors stumble upon Metaphysic, a heavily guarded research project where they encounter Hunter and the talented Meta.  As Hunter's experiment runs out of control, Egan finds that killing isn't easy when your emotions are being manipulated. To save the situation Soloman must revert to his Preceptor training, something he hoped he'd never do...in order to survive he must kill!

The Stranger was a series of direct-to-video science fiction dramas made by BBV and starring Colin Baker.  The series began in 1991 with Summoned by Shadows, co-produced with the BBC Film Club. Partly as a homage to the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who, of which BBV founder Bill Baggs was a fan, and partly in a pragmatic attempt to take advantage of a pre-existing audience, Summoned by Shadows was a Who-style tale of strange doings on a distant planet featuring three actors known for their roles in Doctor Who.  The nameless protagonist (listed in the credits as "The Stranger") was played by Colin Baker, his assistant Miss Brown by Nicola Bryant (who had played the Doctor's assistant Peri Brown opposite Colin Baker for two years), and the villain of the piece by Michael Wisher (who had been the first actor to play Davros).  The second story, More Than A Messiah, adapted the Doctor Who Audio Visuals story of the same name (with the Stranger and Miss Brown substituted for the Doctor and Peri) and co-starred Sophie Aldred (better known as Ace from Doctor Who) in a completely different role.  In Memory Alone, the third film found the Stranger and Miss Brown stranded in a desolate train station with amnesia and battling a mysterious man played by Nicholas Briggs (who also wrote the film along with others in the Stranger series). Most releases of this film include a behind-the-scenes featurette and a blooper reel.  The adventures of the Stranger ran to six videos (and two audio dramas, although the second audio drama was much the same as the sixth video), in the course of which the series established its own style and backstory, by the end abandoning any pretence of being merely Doctor Who by another name. The Stranger was eventually given a name: Solomon, and Miss Brown left the series after In Memory Alone.  The series was re-released on DVD beginning in 2003 and featured new audio stories set before Summoned by Shadows...
