An informant
who is believed to be guilty of treason is instead acquitted; later on, he and Steed are seen celebrating the outcome at a
pub. Mrs. Gale publicly confronts them and voices her doubts about the outcome, and so Steed plots her murder. When Mrs. Gale
is murdered in front of witnesses, Steed is the prime suspect - but he too is later acquitted. Meanwhile, Mrs. Gale is very
much alive, as this is all a plan by her and Steed, so that they can go undercover to investigate two lawyers, Miles and Jasper
Lakin, who guarantee acquittal for criminals by arranging the crime and then manipulating the evidence…

Several undertakers
arrive with a coffin to take away a businessman - while he is still very much alive. Steed searches for the man he was to
escort to New York, but instead finds him locked away in an exclusive retirement
home, and when the man's neighbour is also brought to the home under strange circumstances, Mrs. Gale takes a job there in
order to investigate. She and Steed uncover a scheme to enable the families of millionaires to evade death taxes: when a rich
relative dies, they arrange to have the money transferred to the surviving spouse, and then replace the deceased with a double,
who will then represent that person for the legally required waiting period of five years. But these millionaires may not
be dying of natural causes, and what happens to the double when the five years are up…?

a man named Borowski, an agent given split personalities by a foreign power, Steed and his superior, Charles, discover that
someone is creating perfect doubles of key people, such as a nuclear physicist and a several top agents - and Steed may be
one of them. Steed and Mrs. Gale arrive at a holiday camp to investigate Gordon, the first man to be replaced. But Mrs. Gale
fears that Steed may have already been replaced, and if so, she has order to kill his doppelganger; but is he really the double
after all...?

into a top-secret facility known as the Nutshell, a thermonuclear Underground Target Zone Shelter, and steals BIG BEN (Bilateral
Infiltration of Great Britain, Europe and North America), a secret microfilm
containing information on all the British and American agents working undercover on the other side. Steed and Mrs. Gale are
called in to uncover a traitor, but as the investigation proceeds, it becomes apparent that Steed was involved in the break-in,
and he is arrested for treason…

former batman, dies, and at the reading of the will he leaves his wife £180,000, despite only having had a £20 a week salary.
Steed and Mrs. Gale investigate the man's estate to determine if the money was obtained legally, but evidence eventually points
to a banker who is on a mission to bolster the country's high-tech companies, and is buying stocks based on insider information
in order to achieve his goal…

A politician
is assassinated immediately after being elected, but an enquiry uncovers nothing. Meanwhile, a five-megaton warhead has been
stolen from a government convoy, and Steed believes that the political assassins are going to use it to blackmail the government.
With Steed's help, Mrs. Gale runs for the now vacant seat in parliament in order to find out who was responsible for the murder
- only to find that the assassinated politician is still alive, and is preparing to detonate the warhead in the middle of
London on November 5th - Guy Fawkes Night…

scheme to capture millionaire criminal mastermind J. P. Spagge, Steed and Cathy plan to steal £3 million in gold from an obscure
vault. Steed sets Mrs. Gale up as an employee of Britain's
largest gold repository, but when he tempts Spagge with the bait, Mrs. Gale is arrested, tried and convicted for the murder
of the millionaire. However, Mrs. Gale learns that her ordeal was a hoax arranged by Spagge's minions as a test; she then
arranges the perfect heist, but things do not go according to plan…

An unusual eye
graft procedure requires Steed to assist in the transportation of corneas from Switzerland
to London. After Mrs. Gale and an eye surgeon become suspicious of the procedure,
the surgeon is murdered. The intended recipient of the grafts is a millionaire who has been blind since the war. Steed sends
Mrs. Gale undercover as a biochemist to the home of Martin Halvarssen in Switzerland
to observe the operation. They discover that the corneas are actually from a live donor, Eva Braun, and when Braun is later
found dead, suspicion falls on a member of Halvarssen's team…

staff of the company leads to an avant-garde artist and a plot to use poisoned stomach-powders to kill thousands of people
in an obscure oil-laden country in order to stir up anti-British sentiments…

After strange
diseases begin breaking out in various parts of Europe, Asia, and then Britain,
Steed and Mrs. Gale are called in to investigate a feedstock supplier. They follow the trail to the headquarters of the World
Empire Party, and encounter Sir Bruno Lucer, a mad, self-appointed Caesar. Lucer has concocted an insane scheme to poison
the world using a new strain of bubonic plague, while he and his associates are safely inoculated with the antidote. While
investigating, Mrs. Gale is captured, and Lucer plans to make her the guinea pig for the first inoculation…

When leaving
a Chinese restaurant, Steed ‘accidentally’ claims the wrong coat from and finds a cheque for £5,000 drawn against
a Hong Kong bank in one of the pockets. He and Mrs. Gale soon meet Mister Lo, a notorious, elusive gold smuggler, and an opportunity
of finally catching him appears when Lo makes a personal visit to London in order
to question one of his clients about a missing shipment of gold worth £10,000. The trail leads to a group of military misfits
who are using the proceeds from the smuggling operation to support needy ex-servicemen, which poses an ethical dilemma for
Steed and Mrs. Gale…

may be part of the plot. When the Emir dies of natural causes before the villains can hatch their plot, Steed and Mrs. Gale
become the targets...

church, and which is planning a conference for their major members. But when their dying leader asks his ‘flock’
to vote on his replacement, his assistant, Sister Johnson, makes the decision for them with the use of a machine gun…

the six agents working in an espionage ‘pipeline’ on the Austro-Hungarian border are killed, Charles assigns Steed
to investigate his old friend Hal Anderson, the sixth agent on the pipeline who vanished six weeks ago. Steed tracks Anderson
to Scotland, but Anderson
betrays him and presents Charles with indisputable evidence that it was Steed who was responsible for the murder of the agents.
Charles sends Steed to an interrogation camp run by a man code-named ‘The Wringer’, where psychological torture
and brainwashing are used to get to the truth. But Cathy has more faith in Steed than his superiors, and she discovers that
they are guilty of gross negligence in the management of their own interrogation facility…

the funeral of a retired agent held in Cornwall, he notices an unusually high
number of recent burials for such a small, almost deserted village. He and Mrs. Gale investigate, and uncover a murder-for-hire
scheme by ‘Mandrake Investments’, who arrange for the corpses of poisoned victims to be buried in the churchyard,
which is located near a disused tin mine; the heavy arsenic-level of the soil will prevent any possible exhumations and post-mortems
from finding anything unusual...

Allan and Frederick, are the targets of a blackmail conspiracy that involves a fake spiritualist, her violent mother and Frederick's
boss at the wine shop where he works: Allan must use his lover, Marion, to shut down the alarms at the top-secret research
base where she works, while Frederick is forced to kill one of Steed's colleagues at the wine shop. Steed investigates the
shop, and finds not only some excellent vintages, but also a darkroom hidden in a wine casket; meanwhile, Mrs. Gale looks
into the electronics firm working on a top secret project for the government. But then Marion's
failure results in the death of her husband…

to look after the security of a shah's horse, which is currently in England
for a season of races. The horse is lodged at the Meadows Stables, where Steed discovers that the owner, George Meadows, owes
a bookie named Heuston a considerable gambling debt, run up after Meadows bet on his own horses. Meadows is unable to speak
out without causing himself to be ruined, and so Steed sends Mrs. Gale to get an executive position with the criminal's business
front. Together they uncover an assassination service in which jockeys use special binoculars with built-in poison-dart guns
to silently dispatch the desired target in public…

A motorcycle
gang has permission to ride on an area of land, but the Peck sisters, two little old ladies that live in a nearby mill, are
annoyed by the noise and decide to cast a spell on the bikers. The motorbikes inexplicably stall, along with every other mechanical
device within two miles. The townsfolk blame the nuclear test facility situated in the area, but when Steed and Mrs. Gale
investigate, they find that the station's own clocks are stopping, and that cars in perfect working order have also ceased
to function. Mrs. Gale joins the motorcycle gang to see if they can provide a clue, but it isn’t long before the two
old ladies are suspected of possessing an advanced electronic device, and some rather unsavoury crooks have their eyes on
it....

traitor and defector who is now an Abarain revolutionary engaged in negotiating arms talks in England.
Five years ago, Sharp was the target of a failed assassination attempt, and by an amazing coincidence, Mark Charter, the agent
assigned to kill him, and who has been presumed dead, arrives on the scene after spending five years in prison. Fearing that
Charter may wish to continue his failed mission, Steed and Mrs. Gale find themselves charged with the task of protecting a
man Britain had once wanted dead, and must stop Charter before he ruins the arms talks...

other side. After Mrs. Gale's partner is killed at the dentist's, Steed and Kim search for clues at a hat and tie shop. Both
parties follow the trail to a charm school that is producing assassins disguised as perfect gentlemen...
